nick and tasha {wedding day}

St. Joseph Church, Owatonna, Minnesota January 19, 2008

I had the opportunity to photograph the lovely Nick and Tasha’s wedding in Owatonna. It was the coldest day so far this winter but at least it was bright and sunny.

We stepped out of the church briefly for some outdoor shots.

It was a fun day filled with love and laughters.

Last but not least, the ring picture!

This was my first wedding in 2008 and it sure was a beautiful wedding. Congratulations and thank you for letting me be a part of your big day.

warmly,
Ai Ling

kara faith

It was my first time working with Kara, and it was my first time doing a fashion shoot in a laundromat, but it sure was exciting. We chose a Tuesday morning thinking that it would be less crowded in the laundromat but we were so wrong — people with loads of laundry kept coming in, more and more people gathered and watched us, and it was just a brand new experience for me. Kara was amazing in front of the camera. I hope you enjoy the photos, because I did!

I really like that this guy was in the shot. It is one of my favorite (well, all the photos in this post are my favorites to be honest).

The light from the window was just gorgeous.

How about stuffing your model in a dryer? (David : you did WHAT??!!!)
The idea seemed brilliant at that time but these shots got me in some trouble. The owner came yelling that we might have damaged the machine because of Kara’s weight, and demanded that we have to pay for all the damages — a whooping $10,000. Can you imagine the shock we were in?

I haven’t received any call from him regarding any damages so I can only hope for the best. Anyway, the risk was worth it. We got some fabulous images and oh well, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do I guess. ;p

Hey, Kara, thanks for doing everything that I asked, and performing so beautifully. Good luck in your modeling career!

warmly,
Ai Ling

rachel + andrew, {love shoot} – 2

I had another engagement session with Rachel and Andrew, and this time it was at the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Cottage Grove (please click here to see photos from Rachel and Andrew’s first engagement session). This is where they met, and this is where Andrew proposed to Rachel about a year ago. : )

They are so fun to be around with — definitely made my job so much easier. : )

Thank you, guys, for being such good sports. I can’t wait for your wedding in May!

warmly,
Ai Ling
