As much as I admire Ansel Adams, I never fancied myself a landscape photographer. I took my new 14-24mm lens out for a spin and got these images. They turned out pretty decent, in my opinion. : )

I love my converse. I really do.

Six minutes exposure star trails. Fish eye lens on a full frame D3… sweet!

Midnight. The moon over Lake Superior. 30 seconds exposure.

Sunrise on Lake Superior.

I am just thankful I didn’t get pneumonia and die because I thought I was being so cool by taking these shots out on the balcony, barefoot and only in my pajamas.
I know I know. I am cool like that.

Was in New York back in December of ’08, and these photos reminded me the joy of photography. It felt good to just shoot… anything and everything.

We went out for an evening walk today and look at what I found! Spring is finally here, and the colors are simply amazing. I love this time of the year — fresh air, warm sun, low humidity, and everything just look so lively.

These are all taken with my 50mm f1.2 lens. Love love love the shallow depth of field.

Let’s start with the rhubarb in our backyard and some flowers on the tree in my neighbor’s yard. I was pretty amazed to see the rhubarb flowers. Well, that just shows how much I know about plants — LOL. I definitely do not have a green thumb.



Pink overload! Pretty yummy bokeh here too. : )

I have a secret admiration for dandelions. I do believe that one day they will take over the world.



Lilacs smell so good! Check out the pretty light — I wish it stays like this throughout the year.
