kara faith

It was my first time working with Kara, and it was my first time doing a fashion shoot in a laundromat, but it sure was exciting. We chose a Tuesday morning thinking that it would be less crowded in the laundromat but we were so wrong — people with loads of laundry kept coming in, more and more people gathered and watched us, and it was just a brand new experience for me. Kara was amazing in front of the camera. I hope you enjoy the photos, because I did!

I really like that this guy was in the shot. It is one of my favorite (well, all the photos in this post are my favorites to be honest).

The light from the window was just gorgeous.

How about stuffing your model in a dryer? (David : you did WHAT??!!!)
The idea seemed brilliant at that time but these shots got me in some trouble. The owner came yelling that we might have damaged the machine because of Kara’s weight, and demanded that we have to pay for all the damages — a whooping $10,000. Can you imagine the shock we were in?

I haven’t received any call from him regarding any damages so I can only hope for the best. Anyway, the risk was worth it. We got some fabulous images and oh well, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do I guess. ;p

Hey, Kara, thanks for doing everything that I asked, and performing so beautifully. Good luck in your modeling career!

warmly,
Ai Ling

Calista - WOW! Look at her shoes! Amazing photos! Well done sistah!

I love those photos! she looks amazingly beautiful and real stunning!

Amélie - These shots are awesome ! I love her attitude and your color tones :)

I really hope that the owner will forget about you, this is ridiculous from him ! (plus I bet she doesn’t weight much anyway !)

Melissa E Earle - AHHHHHH!!!!

rachel + andrew, {love shoot} – 2

I had another engagement session with Rachel and Andrew, and this time it was at the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Cottage Grove (please click here to see photos from Rachel and Andrew’s first engagement session). This is where they met, and this is where Andrew proposed to Rachel about a year ago. : )

They are so fun to be around with — definitely made my job so much easier. : )

Thank you, guys, for being such good sports. I can’t wait for your wedding in May!

warmly,
Ai Ling

jesse + savannah

I had an amazingly sweet session with Jesse and Savannah this morning on the frozen Lake Phalen. I’ve worked with Jesse before (click here to see photos from Jesse’s awesome trash-the-dress session) and I am so happy to work with her again. This time, she brought along her adorable daughter Savannah.

It was like a winter wonderland out there. This duo was just so sweet to each other. It was just a wonderful shoot.

Savannah loves making snow angels and she is definitely very good at it. : )

The gorgeous mother-daughter team. Look at their resemblances.

I LOVE this one.

Thanks, guys, for being so awesome. The love and connection between you guys are just so sweet.

warmly,
Ai Ling
