Many have asked me how I started wedding photography. The passion for it is the main reason, but also, I’ve met a lot of great people that helped push and guide me along the way. I knew I wanted to be a wedding photographer, but I didn’t know how, or where to even start. You see, since I am not originally from here, I do not have friends that I could offer to shoot their weddings for. I was getting pretty desperate until I came across this listing on Craigslist where Connie had posted. She was looking for an assistant photographer. I wrote to her, we met, and she agreed to let me come with her to shoot a wedding. I went, and I went to four other weddings with her. She had taught me so much, helped me gain the confidence to fly on my own, and for that, I will be forever thankful that God had sent her to me.
So when Connie told me that she is pregnant, of course I want to do the maternity pictures for her. So here they are, some of my favorites from our shoot.
It just felt a little… different when you are shooting another photographer. : )
I absolutely LOVE these.
Connie, thank you. I can never thank you enough for giving me the opportunity to be a wedding photographer. I am so lucky to have met you!
It was so fun to hang out with you again, and catch up on things. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I do. All the best with baby Athena and I look forward to seeing you soon!
warmly,
Ai Ling
