Working with the 7 month old super adorable baby Avery is simply amazing. She gave me a great bright smile when we first met, and throughout the session, this little angel just kept melting my heart with her sweet smiles.

Baby Avery loves the bead necklace, and look at her cute little pink bikini!

Elmo made a cameo. : )

I regret not having more toys for her to play with because Avery is so cute! When she giggles I can’t help but smile. What a fun session, and a huge thanks to Avery’s mom for helping to make her laugh. : )

leah and joe {wedding day}

Rose Garden, Duluth, Minnesota September 22, 2007

I have been anxiously waiting to photograph Leah and Joe’s wedding since their awesomely awesome engagement session (click here to see photos from their engagement session), and they finally got married last Saturday at the Rose Garden in Duluth. So many great shots – I am having such a hard time deciding which photos I love the most.

It was a gorgeous day – low humidity, breezy, and warm! What a blessing, and like Joe said, God must really want them to get married! I couldn’t agree more. : )

Leah and Joe are such great sports. They agreed to hike down to the beach nearby for some cool shots. Mind you, Leah was not wearing hiking boots. Oh, I am one lucky photographer to be working with such a cool couple!

The guys are so cool.

The little ring bearer and the flower girl are so cute. They kept kissing each other. So sweet. : )

I love photographing Leah and Joe. They are such a beautiful and fun couple.

Since the wedding was held in the Rose Garden, it was only appropriate that the ring shot was done with some roses. : )

The ceremony started at 6 pm and with the gazebo right in front of Lake Superior, the setting sun made a spectacular backdrop for the wedding.

The Unity Sand Ceremony symbolizes their union. Lighting the Unity Candle was quite tricky. The breeze from the Lake was a bit too strong and kept blowing it out.

The reception was fun, everyone had a blast – the food was great, the cake was beautiful and delicious, the dancing was smooth.

Leah and Joe’s first dance.

Joe danced with his mom.

Oh, the bouquet toss was awesome. I love this photo!

Joe trying to remove the garter belt. Took some work! LOL

And the dancing continued.

Congratulations again, Leah and Joe, it was a beautiful wedding. Thank you so much for letting me be a part of it!

warmly,
Ai Ling

Amélie - I absolutely love the pictures you took of the wedding ! The blue sky on the first ones is awesome, and I love the kids pictures so much !! Looks like Leah and Joe will be thrilled with your work.
Makes me all happy hehe :)

Calista - OMG awesome pictures!!! Well done! Gosh, they are gorgeous! And the flower girl is sooooo cute!!

robert

I had an amazingly fun session with Robert yesterday. He is such a talented boy — he plays for his school’s basketball team, he plays guitar, and he is not shy in front of the camera. We chatted throughout the session, about music, about basketball, about fishing, about animals, about girls, etc. : )

Check out Robert’s many many faces. He made me laughed so hard I had to keep telling myself to focus and click the shutter. LOL

Robert loves basketball, and his whole face lit up when I told him we could go to the basketball court nearby and shoot some hoops — and trust me when I say he got skills!!

It was so much fun shooting with you. Good luck and hope to see you soon, Robert!

warmly,
Ai Ling

Calista - hehehehe.. he’s funny

Lauranne - ahah very funny indeed, I love the one where someone pulls his ear :D
